Join us on August 23rd at 11am for the ribbon cutting of 51 new affordable units and 7,000 sqft of commercial space in West Parkside!
Centennial Village is a 51 unit mixed-use development that has transformed the West Parkside neighborhood. The residential units include a mix of apartment buildings, and single-family homes, and the project includes 7,227 square feet of commercial space in Philadelphia’s West Parkside neighborhood. It has been developed by Community Ventures, a non-profit affordable housing developer, through partnerships with the Parkside Association of Philadelphia, the City of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, PNC Bank, Philadelphia Housing Authority and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh.
The apartment building is designed to accommodate seniors and those with special needs. All of the units are affordable to persons whose income is 20% and 60% of the area median income level.
Centennial Village has transformed 44 previously vacant and blighted lots and buildings into a rejuvenated, vibrant block of affordable housing and commercial space. The project builds on other recent public investments and key neighborhood assets, including transit links to nearby employment centers in University City, Center City, and City Avenue.
