Executive Director
David La Fontaine has served as Community Ventures’ Executive Director since August 2013 and previously served as Program Director since 1996. He has over 25 years of affordable housing development experience with a focus on affordable, sustainable, and beautiful developments. He has been responsible for overall project management from project conception, planning, design, acquisition, financing, through construction monitoring and marketing. David is also responsible for the organization’s fiscal management and supervises the Community Ventures’ rental management division, which manages over 200 rental units.
Prior to joining Community Ventures, David held various positions in other housing and community development organizations in Philadelphia including Friends Neighborhood Guild, New Kensington CDC, Philadelphia Historic Preservation Corporation, Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, and Philadelphia Council for Community Advancement.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree from Haverford College and studied at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture and Planning. David is a board member of the Friends Center Corporation and Treasurer for Green Street Monthly Meeting.
